Call for Applications
Due to unforseen circumstances, the Stakeholder workshop has been shifted from its original date in April to June.
A week long stakeholder workshop for states of South Western ghats (Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu) will be held from
25th to 30th April 20th to 25th June, 2016.
The workshop aims in providing current state of art approaches, methods, tools and technologies for application of open source geospatial technology for biodiversity description, analysis and monitoring in western ghats.
Applications are open to candidates having both –
- Formal background in either of the following fields – Zoology, Botany, Wildlife, Biodiversity, Ecology or Geography, with an emphasis on conservation.
- And 5 or more years of experience working in the related area.
Candidates from State Biodiversity Board, Research organisations, Forest departments, NGOs and other conservation related organisations will be given preference. Candidates having nominations from their respective state coordinators will be preferred more. No formal background in GIS is required. Assistance for attending the workshop is likely to be provided.
